Vote for St Bernard Project on Facebook Wednesday, Dec 9 2009

Hi all

Here is a quick and easy (and free!!) way to help the St. Bernard Project win up to $1 million to help bring even more families home. Deadline is Friday at 11:59pm eastern. Please please sign up and vote, and send an invite to all your friends. There are links on the site to tweet it, post it to your wall or invite people directly.

The details are below…you can send it as a separate message to your friends as is or feel free to personalize it.

Chase Bank is giving away a total $5 million to charities and non-profits across the nation. The recipients of this money will be decided based on which organizations have the most votes on facebook.

In this season of giving, I ask that you follow this link:
… and vote for the St. Bernard Project.

SBP has rebuilt 248 homes since Katrina and with this money we can help get 60+ more families back in their homes.
After you follow the link, just follow these steps to vote:

1. Facebook will then ask you if you want to “Allow” this application on your homepage. Click “Allow”
2. You will then be prompted to the St. Bernard Project Community Giving page
3. Click the “Become a Fan of this page” button
4. Once you are a fan, click “VOTE FOR CHARITY” (all nominees are classified as a “charity”)

First round voting ends Dec. 11th and the top 100 vote getters receive $25,000 and then have a chance to win the $1 million grand prize.

Thank you for your help and feel free to pass this along.

Fundraising — August 29th to Dec 9th… Wednesday, Dec 9 2009

In just over three months the students of CINT 912 and 908 at Ryerson University have raised approximately $6500 to support the St Bernard Project in bringing a family home in New Orleans. Four years after the storm sooo many people still haven’t been able to return.

Today we received confirmation that the School of Nutrition will contribute $3000 towards the project by funding the building of the entire kitchen. $3000!!!!!!!!!!!

That brings our total to $9500, well on the way to our goal of $12-15000.
